| Fajitas Recipes come
in mainly two forms either beef or chicken. Most
people state that chicken is better suited for
fajitas however history shows that the main
ingredient in the original fajitas was beef.
We will not
be talking about just how to stuff your serving
with as many ingredients as possible. But rather
we will talk about the way the Mexican and
original cowboys of the south originally served
the Fajita.
However I
want to tell you a small story of how this food
originated and you will probably understand
immediately which one of the two servings is the
original texas-mexican (Better known as tex-mex)
food!
So...
originally cowboys who worked in the mexican and
texas ranges were very poorly paid for long hours
of looking after the cattle of their ranch. (no
they did not spend time running
around and shooting each other like you see on
tv!).
The
cowboys were also very poorly paid and once upon
a time they demanded a rise increase! but instead
of getting paid more money (or gold whichever was
used at the time!
I'm
not sure the owners of the ranches decided that
they will give them parts of cows instead.... the
cowboys not being so legal-savvy agreed and
signed the document... however they did not read
the small print stating that it was at the
owner's discretion to decide which part of the
cow they are to receive! The owners of course
decided to start giving the cowboys parts of the
cows which actually were unsold, such as the head
and other parts which no one wanted
But
the wives of the cowboys being more ingenious
then their husbands... decided to invent a super
new recipe using the raw food that their husbands
brought home, so they invented the beef fajita
recipe! ... so that explains if it was originally
beef or chicken before.
Now
I understand that you will be putting pieces of
good parts of beef and not just the head and
other unsold parts... like the old cowboys did in
the good old days!
Also
if you want to know the secret to a good fajita
