| Do
you want to know how to cook the best fajita you
will ever taste? You may have been to one
of these new age restaurants where they serve
such fajitas.
Only if you follow this
fajita recipe will you feel completely satisfied
and will your craving for a great fajita ever be
met. First of all make sure that you get the best
fajita wrap you can find - meaning you will have
to spend some good money on this one. Do
not buy a fajita wrap from any street vendors but
you should go in a reputable supermarket and get
one of those fajita wraps which does not come
cheap.
Don't tell me that
sometimes a lower price is good - I don't want to
listen to such things. Only if the wraps
cost dearly will I assume that they are any good
and will not fail my test.
Get yourself some good
extra virgin oil. Again do not get anything
which looks or costs less than expected, probably
the taste would not be as good. You might
say I am making a fuss about the oil for nothing,
but I want you to know that a great oil will make
the difference in the recipe, and please do not
spoil everything using some sunflower oil.
Sunflower oil will not
add any taste and will only mean that you are
digesting extra fat which you could live without
Now that we have the
extra virgin oil and the wraps you will need to
get grab of some good chicken breast, this will
need to be boneless, ask your meat store to peel
it and if possible cut it in elongated cubes too
as these will mean that the chicken does not come
out of the fajita once you start eating.
Once you are at the
supermarket I suggest you find some old mexican
lady and ask her what is the best tex-mex sauce
that the supermarket stocks, she will definetely
let you know which one is the spiciest and which
is the tastiest. Again don't be drawn back
by the price which can be relatively high when
compared to other imitations.
Chop an onion, do I need to say anything else
about this?! In the meantime get yourself
some salad that you like, you can include
tomatoes, green peppers, beans and small chunks
of potatoes to add taste to the fajita recipe
Some people like to add
some juice from fresh lemon, but if you like your
fajita recipe to taste like this you should not
add more than 4 spoons of lemon juice.
I suggest you preheat the saucepan for a couple
of minutes and pour in the extra virgin oil, once
you start smelling the oil slightly burning up
add all the ingredients together, pour some water
and add the sauce at the very last.
When you are done, pour everything in a side
plate and get the fajita wrap to warm up in the
pan - don't over do it. You can later add
the ingredients in the fajita and close it up
with some sticks. Warm it slightly some
more and remove the sticks and voila - you now
have the best fajita in the world. Bon
apetit.
